Charan Gill

 
Charan has been on our Board of Directors since January 1995.
 
Charan is the founder and CEO of the Progressive Intercultural Community Services (PICS) in Surrey. He has spent numerous years striving for the rights of immigrant workers and in particular, agricultural workers. In 1978 he co-founded the Canadian Farmworkers’ Union to improve the health and safety and employment standards of farm workers. Charan has been awarded the Order of B.C. and the B.C. Human Rights Award by MOSAIC which are just two of his many awards and bestowed honours.
