ISASH 2017 Reflections - [ARCHIVED]

7 July 2017

It was great to see our international colleagues at the ISASH annual conference in Logan, Utah.

It always amazes me how much we can learn from each other in the interest of health and safety for farmers and ranchers.

The highlight for me had to be the premiere of the new young worker guidelines in agriculture – the current print version will be supported by an online portal to bring a modern element to this valuable information.

The variety of sessions held, each covering topics that directly affect workers in agriculture was vast, yet it is clear that much work is needed to protect this population.

We look forward to next year’s conference in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
