Langley, B.C. / May 16, 2023 – AgSafe is pleased to welcome Tony DeGroot as a new member on the Board of Directors. Tony was elected to the AgSafe Board at the AGM held on April 11^th in Chilliwack.

Many may know Tony as a long-time dairy farmer in British Columbia’s Fraser Valley and the owner of Tonesa Holsteins in Rosedale. Tony also helped develop and co-chaired the industry’s apprenticeship course. He has been a director on the Westgen Board for 18 years, including five years as president. He was also the Westgen representative on the Semex Board for three years.

Stepping down is Andrea van Iterson. Elected in 2021, Andrea has been a valuable member of the AgSafe Board and has helped move the organization forward in many ways.

Congratulations to David Nguyen and Ajay Randhawa who have been re-elected to serve another term as directors. David Nguyen was re-elected as Board Chair. A former AgSafe Safety Advisor, this will be David’s second term leading AgSafe’s Board of Directors.
