Freddy has a diverse background in both the security industry and a decade of experience as a first aid attendant. When the pandemic began, he felt the urge to extend his services to vulnerable communities, leading him to work with the elderly in senior homes and the less fortunate in the Downtown East Side community.
In both his professional and personal life, Freddy has a strong passion for working with people and helping them overcome physical and mental barriers. It was this passion that led him to pursue an Occupational Health and Safety Diploma at BCIT in 2021, with a specific focus on preventing workplace-related injuries and instilling a safety-conscious culture within workplaces.
Safety is often perceived as being enforced by a safety cop, but his goal is to change this perception. Freddy aims to influence, guide, and coach people in performing their jobs safely, regardless of the level of risk involved. He is excited about contributing to the agricultural industry and building trust and relationships to make it safer for farmers and agricultural businesses.
Freddy is a native Vietnamese speaker, and he offers his services in both English and Vietnamese. This unique ability allows him to connect with a broader audience, transcending language barriers and ensuring that safety knowledge is accessible to all.
