Confined Spaces
Workers should never enter a confined space unless they have the proper training and permission.
What are Confined Spaces?
A confined space is an area big enough for a worker to enter but is either completely or partially enclosed. The space may be enclosed on all sides (i.e., bins or tanks), or as few as two sides (i.e., enclosed conveyors). Entry into these spaces may be needed from time to time for limited purposes such as maintenance, or cleaning. However, workers should never enter a confined space unless they have the proper training and permission.
