AgSafe BC Launches New Human Resource Toolkit to Support Agriculture Employers

Langley and Victoria, BC / September 29, 2025 – AgSafe BC is proud to announce the launch of its new Human Resource Toolkit, a comprehensive resource designed specifically to support agriculture employers in British Columbia with effective, compliant, and practical HR management.

Developed in response to growing demand for accessible HR guidance in the agriculture sector, the toolkit provides step-by-step support for employers navigating the complexities of recruiting, onboarding, retaining, engaging, and terminating employees—whether seasonal, temporary, or permanent.

What’s Inside the Toolkit:

  • Templates for job descriptions, employment confirmation, reference checking, exit interviews an employee handbook and more.
  • Checklist for terminations.
  • Forms for payroll deduction, progressive discipline, performance evaluation, and more.
  • Tip Sheets for onboarding, probationary periods, performance management, delivering feedback, and more.

Whether you're managing a small family farm or a large-scale operation, the toolkit is designed to be flexible and scalable to meet your unique needs. With over thirty downloadable documents available for free at agsafebc.ca/human-resources, the toolkit offers practical, ready-to-use resources to support every stage of the employment cycle. Plus, AgSafe’s dedicated Human Resource Consultants have a wealth of additional tools and personalized support available upon request.

The toolkit, part of the BC Agriculture Human Resources Advisory Service, is funded by the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction, through the Canada-British Columbia Labour Market Agreement, as part of suite of Agricultural Labour initiatives delivered though IAF.
